Position Overview
Estrada Consulting, Inc. is seeking an experienced Senior Full Stack .NET Developer to support the development, enhancement, testing, and maintenance of complex enterprise web applications for a California public-sector organization.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Microsoft .NET, C#,
ASP.NET MVC, SQL Server, automated testing, and software quality assurance. This position requires hands-on development expertise combined with strong experience in test automation, defect management, and technical documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, enhance, and maintain enterprise web applications using C#, ASP.NET, MVC, JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, and XML.
- Develop and optimize SQL Server queries, stored procedures, and complex database operations.
- Design and implement automated test scripts, reusable testing libraries, and regression testing frameworks.
- Develop and maintain test environments, test harnesses, test data, and test cases.
- Perform functional, integration, system, regression, performance, and load testing.
- Analyze test results, identify defects, perform root-cause analysis, and support defect resolution.
- Collaborate with development, QA, and business teams throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Translate business and technical requirements into application designs, test requirements, and test cases.
- Prepare technical design documents, test plans, test strategies, and software documentation.
- Participate in defect triage, application troubleshooting, code maintenance, and release activities.
Mandatory Qualifications:
Candidates must meet all of the following requirements:
- 8+ years within the last 10 years developing complex enterprise applications using Microsoft .NET, ASP.NET, MVC, C#, object-oriented programming, JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, XML, and testing utilities.
- 8+ years within the last 10 years developing applications using Microsoft SQL Server, including complex SQL queries, stored procedures, joins, grouping, sorting, and existing database models.
- 5+ years within the last 10 years implementing automated testing in large organizations, including reusable test libraries, automated regression testing, scripting with Java, Python, Shell, or similar languages, and improving test coverage.
- 5+ years configuring and maintaining testing environments, test harnesses, testing tools, test data, and test cases for functional, system, performance, and regression testing.
- 5+ years preparing testing documentation, including test requirements, testing architecture, test plans, strategies, specifications, and test configurations.
- 3+ years performing SQL-based data manipulation, reporting, and validation.
- 5+ years using defect-tracking tools such as JIRA, Bugzilla, HP ALM, or JAMA.
- 5+ years translating business, functional, and technical requirements into test requirements and test cases.
- 5+ years analyzing test results, developing test scripts, identifying defects, and refining test data and test cases.
- 3+ years gathering and documenting business requirements, use cases, business rules, and functional and nonfunctional requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related engineering field.
- Strong T-SQL skills, including stored procedures, triggers, functions, and views.
- At least 2 years of parallel testing and automated testing experience.
- Experience deploying and configuring multi-tier applications using SQL Server.
- Excellent communication and technical documentation skills.
- Experience supporting large-scale financial, pension, or similarly complex enterprise systems.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Additional Requirements
Candidates must be available to work onsite in West Sacramento, CA, approximately 2–3 days per week or as otherwise required.
