Data Integration Lead (Ref: 5746)
Location: Remote within the US preferred East Coast
Term: 9-12 months
Position Summary
The Data Integration Lead will design, develop, and support secure data integrations between PowerSchool, Oracle, and other education data systems. This role will be responsible for creating reliable data pipelines, mapping and transforming source data, validating data quality, and preparing datasets for public reporting.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience integrating PowerSchool and Oracle data using secure APIs, SFTP transfers, and automated or scheduled data-processing workflows.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the technical integration of data feeds from PowerSchool and Oracle.
- Design and maintain secure API- and SFTP-based integrations.
- Develop automated and scheduled data pipelines for recurring data exchanges.
- Perform source-to-target data mapping, transformation, cleansing, and validation.
- Monitor data pipelines and troubleshoot integration, processing, and data-quality issues.
- Establish validation procedures to ensure data is complete, accurate, and consistent.
- Support education data standards such as Ed-Fi, OneRoster, or similar interoperability frameworks.
- Prepare and validate datasets used for public reporting, regulatory submissions, dashboards, and analytics.
- Document integration requirements, data mappings, business rules, technical specifications, and operating procedures.
- Coordinate with business analysts, database administrators, application teams, reporting teams, and client stakeholders.
- Ensure integrations comply with applicable security, privacy, and student-data protection requirements.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience integrating data from PowerSchool and Oracle systems.
- Experience developing secure API and SFTP integrations.
- Experience designing automated or scheduled data pipelines.
- Strong experience with data mapping, transformation, validation, and reconciliation.
- Knowledge of Ed-Fi, OneRoster, or comparable education data standards.
- Experience preparing datasets for public, regulatory, or operational reporting.
- Ability to identify and resolve data-quality and integration issues.
- Strong technical documentation and stakeholder communication skills.
Additional Qualifications:
- Experience working with K–12 school districts or public education agencies.
- Experience with student information systems, data warehouses, reporting platforms, or education analytics environments.
- Knowledge of student-data privacy, access controls, encryption, and secure file-transfer practices.
- Experience supporting Oracle databases, SQL, ETL/ELT tools, and cloud-based integration services.
