About Estrada Consulting, Inc.
Estrada Consulting, Inc. (ECI) is an information technology consulting firm providing technology, application development, data, project management, and related consulting services to public-sector and commercial clients.

ECI is expanding its use of artificial intelligence across client solutions, business development, internal applications, and rapid proof-of-concept development.

Position Overview:
ECI is seeking a highly motivated AI Solution Architect / AI Prototyping Engineer who can rapidly turn business ideas and technical concepts into functional prototypes and demonstrations.
This role is ideal for someone who is comfortable using modern AI development tools, generative AI platforms, open-source technologies, and AI-assisted coding tools to dramatically accelerate software development. The selected candidate will work closely with ECI leadership, business development staff, and technical teams to explore emerging opportunities, develop client-facing demonstrations, and create lightweight internal applications that improve efficiency, research, recruiting, operations, and decision-making. We are looking for someone who is curious, resourceful, highly motivated, and comfortable experimenting with new technologies rather than relying exclusively on traditional development approaches.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop rapid proofs of concept (POCs) for prospective client opportunities and emerging business needs.
  • Use generative AI and AI-assisted development tools to rapidly design, build, test, and refine working applications.
  • Create client-facing demonstrations showing how AI and emerging technologies can address specific business and government challenges.
  • Translate business concepts and early-stage requirements into functional technical prototypes.
  • Develop AI-enabled internal tools supporting business development, opportunity tracking, research, recruiting, operations, and other company processes.
  • Integrate large language models and AI services into web applications, internal systems, and prototype solutions.
  • Experiment with AI agents, workflow automation, document intelligence, data extraction, research automation, and decision-support applications.
  • Evaluate emerging AI platforms, models, frameworks, agent technologies, and open-source tools.
  • Rapidly learn unfamiliar business domains and develop domain-specific prototypes based on client needs.
  • Conduct technical research related to prospective public-sector opportunities, technologies, incumbent systems, and potential solution approaches.
  • Participate in early-stage client and partner discussions when technical demonstrations or solution concepts are needed.
  • Identify opportunities where AI can improve existing ECI services or create new consulting offerings.
  • Support development of AI solutions for small and medium-sized businesses as opportunities arise.
  • Document prototypes, architecture decisions, reusable components, and lessons learned so successful concepts can be transitioned into production solutions.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related technical discipline; or equivalent demonstrated technical experience.
  • Strong software development fundamentals.
  • Hands-on experience using generative AI tools for software development.
  • Ability to rapidly develop functional prototypes with limited supervision.
  • Experience developing applications using modern programming languages and web technologies.
  • Understanding of APIs, databases, cloud services, and system integration concepts.
  • Familiarity with large language models and generative AI platforms.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies and unfamiliar business domains.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, resourceful, and comfortable working in a fast-moving environment with evolving requirements.
  • Demonstrated curiosity and willingness to experiment with new tools, platforms, and development approaches.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini, or other large language model platforms.
  • Experience using AI-assisted coding tools such as ChatGPT, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Codex, or similar tools.
  • Experience building AI agents, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) solutions, document-processing applications, or workflow automation.
  • Experience with Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, React, .NET, or similar technologies.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
  • Experience rapidly developing applications using open-source frameworks and reusable components.
  • Experience integrating AI capabilities with enterprise applications and APIs.
  • Familiarity with public-sector technology environments or government business processes.
  • Experience presenting technical concepts or software demonstrations to nontechnical audiences.
  • Entrepreneurial interest in identifying new AI-driven products, consulting services, or business opportunities.

What Success Looks Like:
Success in this role means being able to take a business problem or opportunity, quickly research the domain, determine an appropriate technical approach, and produce a credible working prototype in days rather than months. The successful candidate will continually look for ways to use AI to:
  • Reduce software development time.
  • Automate research and repetitive business processes.
  • Improve ECI's internal operations.
  • Strengthen technical demonstrations for prospective clients.
  • Develop reusable AI capabilities that can support future consulting engagements.

Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate combines technical ability, creativity, business awareness, communication skills, and a strong sense of urgency.
This position is best suited for someone who does not require a complete technical specification before beginning work. The individual may receive an objective, business problem, or initial concept and will be expected to research possible approaches, experiment with available technologies, and rapidly develop a practical solution. Candidates who enjoy independently learning new technologies, testing ideas, building prototypes, and demonstrating what is possible with modern AI tools are strongly encouraged to apply.

Opportunity:
This role offers the opportunity to work directly with ECI leadership on emerging AI initiatives and help shape how artificial intelligence is incorporated into ECI's consulting services, internal applications, business development activities, and future client solutions.
The selected individual will have significant latitude to experiment with new technologies, develop prototypes, and help create capabilities that may evolve into future ECI service offerings.
